How much does it cost to replace a windshield?

It depends on the year, make, model, and features of your windshield. The make and model also affect the cost. For example, the cost to replace a windshield in a 2018 F150 and a 2018 Corvette are worlds apart. The same is true for manufacturers. Generally speaking, replacing the windshield in a Chevrolet SUV versus a Mercedes SUV are very different.

What does "low-E" mean?

Low-E or low emissivity glass has a reflective coating. In cold weather, it holds in the heat by reflecting it back to its source. When cold, the low-E coated glass blocks UV rays and permits 95% of natural light to pass through it

Why can't I replace just ONE pane of glass in my double-paned window?

A unit is a set of 2 panes of glass. Typically, in newer construction, with "low-E Gas", once one pane breaks the gas that helps provide the insulation rating (r-factor) is GONE!  The sealed double-paned unit must be ordered from our supplier based on your current windows measurements.

Why is my window Foggy?

When the seal is broken or damaged, your window can take on a "cloudy" appearance. Cox Glass can easily replace the glass in your existing frame, saving you money by not having to replace the entire window

Isn't there just a "standard" size window you can order for me?

No, there is no such thing as a "standard" size window. Windows come in all shapes and sizes, this is why Cox Glass offers FREE measurements and estimates. This is to ensure that the window we order for your existing frame, fits properly when it arrives.
